Large-scale Russian Assaults Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital
Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Nine people were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.
At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.
Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.
"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a public message.
Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 projectiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.
Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.
A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.
Regional authorities said the city experienced significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were wounded.
The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.
National leaders told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
